How We Measure Success: Setting Realistic Expectations
Results take time. Here is how to read them correctly.
Every new client wants to know one thing: when will I see results? It is a fair question. But the honest answer depends on what you are measuring, what channel you are investing in, and how realistic your baseline expectations are.
We will always be direct with you about this.
Paid Advertising — Fastest results, but requires a learning phase
Google and Meta campaigns begin generating data within days of launch. However, both platforms operate an algorithm learning phase during the first 2–4 weeks in which they optimise who sees your ads. During this period, performance is often variable. You should not make significant decisions about a campaign based on the first month of data alone.
Realistic expectations: Meaningful performance data from Month 2. Optimised, consistent results from Month 3 onwards.
SEO — Slower to build, but compounds over time
SEO is not fast. Anyone who tells you otherwise is not being honest with you. Search engines take time to crawl, index, and re-rank pages. New content takes time to gain authority. Technical improvements take time to reflect in your rankings.
Realistic expectations: Initial movement in rankings from Month 3–4. Meaningful organic traffic increases from Month 6. Significant results typically visible at Month 9–12 for competitive sectors.
Social Media — Brand building, not direct response
Social media builds audience familiarity and brand trust. It is not typically a direct lead generation channel, particularly in the early months. Its value compounds over time as your audience grows and your content establishes credibility.
Realistic expectations: Engagement trends become meaningful from Month 2–3. Do not judge social media on enquiry volume alone.
How we report results
Your monthly report covers all active channels and clearly shows performance against your agreed KPIs. If a channel is not performing to target, we will flag it, explain why, and recommend changes. We do not hide underperformance in reporting.
When to raise a concern
If you have a specific concern about performance, submit a support ticket or raise it during your monthly review call. Please bring your report with you. Concerns raised with data are far easier to address than those raised without it.
